Seeds and Seed Production Technology – Manual: For students Diploma in Agricultural Sciences

Nature has endowed us with resources that are second to none. More than 45 percent of Pakistan’s population is engaged in agriculture. Most of our farmers are familiar with the latest innovations in agriculture but are not familiar with seeds and their production technology. Knowledge of seeds and their production technology can prove to be a great help in meeting the food needs of the country’s growing population. Domestic production of seeds can reduce foreign imports and a lot of foreign exchange can be earned by exporting the abundant seeds produced. The manual, seeds and seed production technology under consideration have been completed with great effort and dedication by Sohail Irshad, Imtiaz Ahmed, Saleem Ashraf and Dr. Muhammad Nawaz. I am very happy that the study of this manual will not only give students and farmers an opportunity to better understand the importance of seeds, the role of seeds in improving the country's economy and the role of seeds in crop production, which will improve the rural economy as well as increase their income. I have thoroughly reviewed this manual from the technical aspects and find it very useful in practical and academic terms.
